I will like to tell you a little disastrous story I witnessed.
To begin, there was this village located in the interior of one part of the country. These villagers lived in love. They accepted strangers pass the night in their homes. Kind hearted they were and lived in God’s knowledge.
The land was with milk and honey. They reared crops cultivated with very high yields. They sold it to earn a living.
My aunt lived there and had good qualities. My father told me; ’Laura, you will go visit your aunt’ ’I was excited because I was going to get bulkier.
When I arrived, we both cultivated crops, fetched wood and swarm in their various streams. Life was so sweet I must say it was like another heaven on earth. Weeks passed on and on a faithful Wednesday morning, at about 7:20am, we heard a loud voice say “we are in trouble “we all ran out to see what was happening only for us to notice that all the water bodies went dry, pest consumed all the crops, our animals died and the food we gathered was stolen. Children cried to express their hunger. My head ached, my eyes bulged out red and all the veins of my eyes were visible.
My throat was dry such that I found it difficult to talk. I looked around and found people crawling with their belly scratching the ground with their fingers in search of termites to eat. We dug deep into the soil in search of water yet nothing. If we found a bone from a place where cows were slayed everybody would stand on a straight line to partake in sucking it. My stomach grumbled like the sound of a great thunder which could be heard two kilometers away. I knew I was walking dead. Our skins pilled off like scales of fish that have been scrapped to the scotching wind and direct radiation of the sun. Animals would feed on plastic bags and their own dried Ching. Everywhere was pregnant with epidemic diseases, no light, and no network. It was a symbolic type of utopia. The faithful people prayed continuously suddenly a mad man said; “rain is coming” some people were amazed while others began shooting with stones with the last energy they had saying he mocks God.
Also, a boy shouted and rain fell instantly. I saw God’s power over his creation. The water bodies flooded and we rejoiced and jumped for joy. We thanked God for offering such a wondrous effect and keeping us alive for a reason. God gives and he can still take to test our faith and how much we hunger and thirst for his word, he uses anybody to pass on his message.
I vowed my loyalty to Yahweh. This encounter with God changed my life positively. Then a run away from God now doing his work. HAVE FAITH.
