Hundreds of people gathered at Presbyterian Church  Bokwai on Sunday 15 April to witness the grand launch of the maiden edition of the Voices of the Young Magazine-a production of the youth department of PCC Bokwai. The launch ceremony began with a Devine service officiated by Reverend Akijika Godlove, Pastor of PCC Bokwai and Chaplain of Presbyterian Secondary School Buea.

 

The launching proper of the magazine was coordinated by Barrister Njila Stephen who praised the efforts of youths PCC Bokwai for their bravery and ability to come out with a magazine which generations upon generations shall live to remember. Other launchers of the magazine included Elder Mbame Fidelis, Rev. Mokoko Mbue Thomas (National Communication Secretary of the PCC), Elder Hannah Etonde Mabua, Mr. Ngombi Emanuel, Mrs Betty Enjema Mbango nee matute and others. The Voices of the Young Magazine is aimed at promoting the voices of young people through writing. Its first edition captures the 100 years history of PCC Bokwai and news reports of events around the PCC. The magazine is also rich in peace Poems, wise words and reflections from youths. It’s a document full of colors and beautiful designs.

The Launching ceremony was co-hosted by Evira Mojoa Mbua Mondoa and Toumbou Sandra from YP Bokwai with Mr.Weno Joseph of Media Afrique Radio Buea.  The magazine was reviewed by Achale Oma Ebob(13 years old). All those present were happy to copies of the magazine to their respective towns, congregations and communities. They appreciated the talents of youths of PCC Bokwai. Over three hundred copies of the magazine were sold so as to raise money for future productions. The magazine is a bi-annual production produced by Mr.Ntui Oben Obi Agbor, co-produced by Mr.Esue Lucas  Esue with Reverend Akijika Godlove F. as Editor-in-chief. The Desk editor is Mrs. Agborbechem Bertha while layout and Design was done by Engr. Tata Isaac F.
