The Coordinator of Voices of the Young (VoY) Mr. NTUI Oben Obi have today been awarded the prestigious award of Best Prize for the Silence the Gun Challenge organized by the Cameroon’s Ministry of External Relations, the African Union Commission and the United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs. The prize was awarded by Dr. IVor Richard Fung(Deputy chief, Conventional Arms Brand, UNODA) during the official launch of the September Amnesty Month in Cameroon.
The award ceremony took place in Cameroon’s political capital city Yaounde on Monday November 19, 2020 at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel. Present during the ceremony was the Minister of External Relations and other Government dignitaries
Mr. Ntui who is a Poet, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach and Peace Officer at the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon – PCC Peace Office where he serves as National Program Officer says “I am glad to have been selected as the best among other talented writers in the country. Praise to God that my work of art can be a source of inspiration and a birth way to Peace in our community”.
It should be noted that Mr. Ntui is a peace writer who has dedicated his life for peace. His poems have inspired many Cameroonians. He is a certified Peace trainer who uses every opportunity to speak peace and create an impact in his community. the VOY team wishes him well and more wins to him and VOY in general.
